CSAC Annual Meeting Features Harbor Tour of Port of Long Beach
The Port of Long Beach is one of the busiest shipping terminals in the world, moving more than $140 billion worth of goods each year. It is also a leader in reducing environmental impacts from the shipping industry, featuring a “shore power” facility that allows ships to plug in to a clean source of electricity rather than run their own, more polluting generators.

CSAC is pleased to offer an up-close and personal tour of the Port of Long Beach on the morning of Tuesday, November 27, as part of our Annual Meeting in Los Angeles County.

A bus will leave the hotel at 9:00 a.m. for a short ride to the dock. The Port Authority is providing a tour boat and breakfast so you can experience the port from the water with a hot cup of coffee in hand. Port Authority personnel will be on hand to answer questions. Attendees will be back at the conference by 11:45 a.m., in plenty of time for the Opening Kick-Off Session.

You can register for the free port tour when you register for the Annual Meeting, or if you’ve already registered for the meeting and want to add the port tour, please RSVP to Lisa Currie at CSAC.
